Metabolic Disruption, Berlin Atonal 2023
Performed, or rather happened during the 4-day performative exhibition titled Universal Metabolism at Berlin Atonal Festival. Metabolic syndrome - defined as a pathologic condition characterised by abdominal obesity, insulin resistance, etc. Yuko Kaseki and Tot Onyx take on the troublesome role of disruptive force of metabolism seeking a disorder in the alimentary canal of Kraftwerk. The abandonmentof all prior distinctions of performance, play, happening or event for something unprecedented, a sudden error or mutation. Like a natural orgasm, whatever happens, should happen in its natural time in an organically chosen place in the building. Whether our intervention causes chaos or ends in harmony is the decision of the audience members.
