It feels like to me that the world has been entering a new era with each passing year since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. So in my mind, we are already in the 5th era since the pre-pandemic. That’s part of the reasons why releasing a new album that was written a couple of years ago feels like giving a birth to an old fogey.
Nonetheless, I’m thrilled to share my second album with you. It’s my first release with Antibody from Brussels, whose VA “Fatal Strategies” I was involved in last year. The world has been moving so fast and so have i. The ridiculousness and insanity in this world have forced me to grow further in high pitch, intellectually and philosophically, that i wonder how i would have reacted if the world were now in the grip of a pandemic in this 5th era. I’m sure it would have been different. Yet, this was my answer in the 2nd era and i’d be flattered if you had a peek.

Written under the covid-19 pandemic, “Satire of Desire” is her radical criticism on the man-made catastrophe and sonic response to the cacotopic world that seemed less realistic than the surreal dreams of flying turtles. “My dreams started to become more realistic than the empty streets of Berlin. That’s when I began wondering the difference between dream and reality, conscious and subconscious, how we distinguish them and what that even means. That was the beginning of creating this album. The beginning of the future i was unwillingly stepping into.”
